Hi, It's felt like it's been a very cold Winter in Melbourne, and sometimes I find it so hard to stick to my normal routine, be it eating better, exercising, (never my best discipline anyway), or meditating.
In the colder months I usually just stay in bed to meditate, which is not the best most ideal, so they teach, but hey, if it gets me meditating consistently, I will just stay those extra minutes under a warm blanket. The word of the day now for me, is consistent, not discipline, because the word discipline is a real turn off for me, and I've found for my clients also. We read "discipline" as hard, strict, not fun. We are living in a world that tells us constantly we should try harder, while popular media shows us, that we should also be striving for that dream lifestyle of having it all and living the most enjoyable (not hard) lifestyle. So we end up just feeling bad, that we can't be more disiplined and do a "better" or more "perfect" job.So just do the best you can, to sit quietly, (or lie down), and breathe, and still the mind, and let go. As often as you can.
